These items listed for me are a must-have for winter outfits that can mix-match, be worn in different ways and still be warm and cosy. I want to call it an expanded capsule wardrobe for winter.

High neck tops/ Turtle necks

Years ago I hated turtle neck tops because I thought they are not flattering on me. However, recently they are my favourite tops for the Autumn and winter season. Turtle neck tops and sweaters are elegant, comfortable, and warm and can be styled with jeans, skirts and so many things.

White knitted sweater

What is winter without a white knitted sweater? The white sweater is perfect to layer with blouses, or I have started recently wearing them above red and green dresses. Even with dresses from spring and summer time, that I layer up and wear now for Christmas.

Wool coat

A wool coat is great for women over 30 or for women that love elegance! I also read (and have noticed myself) that wool coats are very warm.

Puffer coat

However, if you live in a very cold place, you should have a nice puffer coat. I just pulled out my puffer coat from the Reserved store and I love the feeling of getting lost in a cosy and warm coat! With a wool coat, I cannot wear thick sweaters underneath, but with a puffer coat I can wear what I want and eat how much I want (win, win).

Christmas sweater (festive)

I do not have any ugly Christmas sweaters, but I do have a few aesthetic festive sweaters. One of my favourite all-time Christmas holiday sweaters is this vintage sweater from MustHaveSkirts. I would suggest it to my best friend, my mom, my enemies, everyone!

Basic knitted sweater for layering

Beige or black simple knitted sweaters can be mix matched with so many items. Knitted sweaters are elegant, cute, and aesthetic and can be worn to holiday dinner, styled for a day at the office or a casual day out shopping. Petite Jeans

Jeans are a must-have for any season (except for summer if you live in Spain and denim melts to your skin). However, in Autumn and winter, it is especially needed as your wardrobe staple. My favourite jeans are still high-waisted and skinny. The best Petite jeans that I have discovered are from Stradivarius!

Black leggings

Black leggings, cotton or leather in winter can be layered up with oversize blouses, or hoodies and even worn with dresses to feel warmer in winter. Spanx leggings are the best quality leggings.

Velvet dress

This year I got myself two velvet dresses and I am in love with that material. A velvet dress gives a very warm feel to your skin and body. I wear velvet dresses everywhere because they are stretchy and comfortable: around the house when I work and will wear one during Christmas too! Warm boots

Forget about heels and strap your feet in tiny boots. In Winter, we must protect our feet and keep them warm. I have my boots from Wrangler, but Timberland or UGG is a great option as well!

Knitted cardigan

Cardigans are easy and great to wear when you might change from a hot place to a cold environment. I use cardigans at the home all the time, and I did also when I worked in the office! Cardigans are perfect to throw on when freezing and off when it gets hot.

Sweater dress
