The best face masks for big pores and blackheads!

The best face masks for big pores and blackheads! I think we have all noticed that in the last year there has been a skincare popularity boom, and mostly around face serums and face masks.

I have talked a lot about serums and did a lot of posts around different serums, mostly natural and cruelty-free serums and the ones that I believe work wonders (Check out my “beauty” page to read more about skincare).

As my two favourite face masks are soon going to be over and I will need to get new ones, I decided that it is time to introduce you with my favourite face masks that fights with my large pores and blackheads perfectly.

I have mentioned these masks here and there, on Instagram, one of them on my blog posts and youtube videos but I wanted to do a whole blog posts of pictures (before and after, products, my face etc.) and full information about the products itself. One of the masks is L’oreal Pure clay Detox mask and other is the best black mask I have tried (and I have tried a lot, I am obsessed with black masks)- Beauty charcoal Black mask.

Disclaimer! I paid for these masks for my own money!

L’oreal Pure clay Detox mask

Description. The L’oreal pure detox mask has a strength and benefits of Charcoal to detoxify and illuminate the skin in just 10 minutes. Pure clays and charcoal act like a magnet to clean out pores and draw-out and capture deep impurities (such as dirt, oil, and pollution). This creamy, non-drying charcoal mask leaves skin feeling clean, velvety, and rebalanced, addressing your dull, tired skin to reveal a purified, even, and radiant complexion. Immediately, skin looks brighter with a healthy glow. Our charcoal mask provides deep pore cleansing–dirt, dust and pollution are removed from skin. Skin’s complexion looks fresher and more even.

Ingredients. AQUA / WATER, KAOLIN, MONTMORILLONITE, LECITHIN, POLYSORBATE 20, BUTYLENE, GLYCOL PROPYLENE, GLYCOL, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES, ORYZA, SATIVA STARCH / RICE STARCH, MOROCCAN LAVA CLAY, CHARCOAL POWDER, CAPRYLYL, GLYCOL CITRIC ACID, XANTHAN GUM, POLYGLYCERIN-10, POLYGLYCERYL-10 MYRISTATE, POLYGLYCERYL-10 STEARATE, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CHLORPHENESIN, LINALOOL, LIMONENE, PARFUM /FRAGRANCE

How to? I usually first gently rub my skin with warm-hot tower to open up the pores. Then I apply the mask to clean and dry skin (avoid lips and eye area). Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes then remove with water. For best results use 3 times a week. (I usually use it twice).

My thoughts and opinion. I am obsessed with this mask so much. It is one of the first masks that I found it actually helps and gives me beauty salon results. Washing it off takes a bit of time which can sometimes be annoying but other then that I have no complains at all about this mask. I have noticed that after I wash it off, my pores are very wide opened and that the masks cleans my pores from the deepest and deepest of roots. I love to use my pore tools to help clean my pores even more after I have used the mask and it helps even more as pores are so wide opened and blackheads seems to be activated and coming out easier and faster!

After years of trying out a lot of face masks, many can be either just oily to give hydration (and it is all it does) or very dry if they are meant to help with pores and blackheads. L’oreal detox mask is just in the middle. It does seems to illuminate and brighten my face just as the descriptions says. Well we all know that clay is used in SPA and is good for skin.

Beauty charcoal black mask

Description. Beauty charcoal ultra-purifying activated charcoal mask will deeply cleanse your skin, absorb excess oils and get rid of blackheads. Additionally, this mask can help minimize large pores and wrinkles, leaving you with smoother and more radiant skin.

You can see, I am almost out!

100% safe & natural. Suitable for all skin types.

How to? Again, I gently cleanse your face with a hot towel compress to open mypores and dry my skin (This is from where I learned it). Apply a thick and even layer of the activated charcoal mask. Avoid your eye area, eyebrows, hairline and lips (trust me I have been to hairline, that is not a good idea). Leave on for ~25 minutes or whenever the mask is dry. Gently peel off the mask from the bottom upward (If it is possible to do this gently, this mask hurts like other black masks but at least give you results). Rinse off any residue with warm water.

My thoughts and opinions. I told you before that I like face masks a lot, I have tried more affordable and more expensive brands. Especially I love black masks (I guess I love the pain, xoxo). Some have been so useless that I literally stop use them (I am not so rich so usually I use the product up anyways at some point, but there are literally black masks in my house which I used only once, but it is important to mention that those were also the ones which had very affordable price).

All the process

This mask surprised me a lot. You know those commercials where people show zoomed in peeled-off black mask with the disgusting view on their blackheads and they all happy how clean the skin is? And even thought you are disturbed by the view, you are excited to try the mask because it helps! Then you rush to the drugstore, try it out and it hurts as hell, your face is red and you are trying to find one blackhead under the microscope on that peeled-off part to find a reason why not to throw it out the window? Yes, I have been there! That is why I was so excited when I was that person who actually saw the blackheads on used mask from my face!

The other shock was how smooth my skin feels after I use the mask. After black mask I have never felt so smooth baby skin feeling. Usually skin gets very dry and even flakey at times. It feels so smooth that I cannot stop touching my nose after using Beauty charcoal mask. (Not exaggerating)

You can see pulled out blackheads
