Petite-friendly fashion trends to incorporate in your style
Biker trend
Leather (faux leather) and biker style are for everyone. One of the Fall and spring essentials for me is a leather jacket and leggings. Therefore, the biker style is suggestible for Petites as well!
Chic transparency
I am not a fan of too much transparency and too much skin (except if it is clubbing or a date with your man). However, if you wear transparency in an elegant way, it would look very stylish on Petite women. I am liking dresses or blouses with transparent sleeves or transparent details around the waist.
Underwear or outerwear
Underwear or bikini trend as a street style is another trend that I am not a fan of. However, again, if you style it up with more elegant pieces (trousers, blazers), it can look good. I included the trend because showing more skin always makes Petites more noticeable.
However, I would get some corset tops and style them with white blouse or shirt underneath!
Statement stripes (vertical)
Vertical stripes will always look good on everyone if they want to look taller and thinner. However, better avoid horizontal stripes.
Cargo pants
I thought we left cargo pants in 2022 fashion, but it looks like it has only started. Happy that I ordered my cargo pants recently and will be able to jump on this trend. However, I did it more as a challenge because I do not see myself wearing cargo pants. Cargo pants seem like a teenager and hip-hop style trend. However, I thought cargo pants could be a great fashion piece for summer camping trips!
Fringes/ tassel
Usually, any extra details on a Petite outfit can make you look bulkier. However, as fringes include vertical details, they will only add a nice accent to your style. Therefore, do not be afraid to jump on the fringe trend.
Trendy fashion colours of 2023
Liquid gold
I fell in love with liquid gold dresses when I was writing my New Year-style blog post. However, I never thought it will be trending in 2023. Liquid gold means that it looks like gold pouring down your body. Anything that gives that visually liquid look will make the Petite body look taller and slimmer.
Baby blue
Light colours in your outfits looks great on Petites, especially if monochromatic outfits (like a baby blue dress or matching set).
Beige tones
Skin-toned outfits look gorgeous on petite women- elegant and stylish.
Lilac colour
Lilac is another great colour for Petites. I can imagine a beautiful lilac dress for the spring season.
