The best winter coats for Petites under $150

The best winter coats for Petites under $150. Winter is coming fast, and we all want to stay warm while also looking stylish. For short women under 5’4 or 164cm, it is difficult to find good-fitting coats. Therefore, I decided to find the best winter coats for Petite women on a budget. Most of the coats I found are available internationally, and for sure in the UK and Spain.

Faux fur coats

Faux fur winter coat for Petite women

Faux fur coats are very soft, warm and luxurious-looking. Recently TikTok had a trend of Mob Wife and we saw a lot of women wearing faux fur coats. Faux fur coats are for you if you have cold winter weather or want a more feminine and luxurious rich look.

As a Petite, I would style a faux fur coat with long dresses or skirts and over-the-knee boots. Last but not least, faux fur coats are suitable for opera or theatre visits as well as exclusive restaurants.

Wool look coats

Wool coats or wool-look coats are one of the most classy winter coats for women. These coats are usually warm enough but not very warm. However, wool coats are versatile and match nicely with different winter outfits- casual denim looks, dresses or office wear. I have my wool coat from Mango.

Padded Puff coats

Padded coats are for everyday use, running errands and going to work. Puff padded coats are very practical, easy to clean and warm for cold winter weather. However, padded coats usually are not very flattering, especially for short Petite women. I have a very long black padded coat from Reserved and a short pink padded jacket from Zalando (Only Petite).

Suede and Teddy coats

Suede and teddy coats are elegant and classy but can be easily worn with casual outfits like jeans. I like suede and teddy coats because they look elegant and stylish, while also easy to wear, they do not wrinkle but look good with any outfit (even sweatpants). I bought my suede soft short coat from Hollister. Finally, I wear a suede coat with jeans or with skirts and dresses for a night out.

Emily in Paris stylish coats

The style guide to winter coats for Petites under $150

So many Petite-friendly fashion coats that I found have a unique design that reminded me of Emily in Paris. Therefore, I decided to create its category. These colourful and fun winter coats are for women who already have their winter staple coats and want something different and fun. If you are a fashionista, these coats are for you!

Belted winter coats

Finally, I had to include belted coats. Belted coats are very flattering for Petite short women and curvy women. A coat with a belt will visually give you an hourglass figure.

Having a good quality winter coat in your capsule makes a lot of difference. When choosing the right winter coat, I suggest thinking about your routine and your work environment. In general, my suggestion is to have one coat for daily routine and work, and another one for nights out and dates. Which of the winter coats for Petites under $150 were your favourites?
