Only recently, I realised that in colder weather, you can wear sweatpants or leggings but, with the right jacket and coat, look like the most stylish fashion model and fashionista. Therefore, I wanted to list some of the capsule staples for women when it comes to winter jackets and coats. What are must-have winter coats for Petites?

Faux fur coats

Faux fur coats are very soft, warm and luxurious-looking. Recently TikTok had a trend of Mob Wife and we saw a lot of women wearing faux fur coats. Faux fur coats are for you if you have cold winter weather or want a more feminine and luxurious rich look.

As a Petite, I would style a faux fur coat with long dresses or skirts and over-the-knee boots. Last but not least, faux fur coats are suitable for opera or theatre visits as well as exclusive restaurants.

Wool look coats

Wool coats or wool-look coats are one of the most classy winter coats for women. These coats are usually warm enough but not very warm. However, wool coats are versatile and match nicely with different winter outfits- casual denim looks, dresses or office wear. I have my wool coat from Mango.

Padded Puff coats

Padded coats are for everyday use, running errands and going to work. Puff padded coats are very practical, easy to clean and warm for cold winter weather. However, padded coats usually are not very flattering, especially for short Petite women. I have a very long black padded coat from Reserved and a short pink padded jacket from Zalando (Only Petite).

Suede and Teddy coats

Suede and teddy coats are elegant and classy but can be easily worn with casual outfits like jeans. I like suede and teddy coats because they look elegant and stylish, while also easy to wear, they do not wrinkle but look good with any outfit (even sweatpants). I bought my suede soft short coat from Hollister. Finally, I wear a suede coat with jeans or with skirts and dresses for a night out.
