The best midi skirt outfits for Petite women

I wanted to share my best midi skirt outfits for Petite women. Mostly because I noticed that I wear a lot of midi skirts. However, the midi skirt is also very versatile and elegant looking (probably that is why I love them so much). I have written about how to style a tulle skirt. As well as, how to style a black mini skirt, but never about the midi skirt.

After seeing my midi skirt outfits, could think that I dress very sophisticated every day. However, I usually wear my midi skirts with sneakers or even casual boots to make them comfortable. It is very difficult to define a personal style. It has always been difficult to define it for me as well. However, if I had no other choice, I would call it a CC aka Casual Chic! A style between street style with classy or elegant and interesting accents and pieces. How would you define your style? Now let’s dive into fashion guide on how to style a midi skirt for spring as a Petite woman?

What is a midi skirt?

I wanted to start with the basics in case someone is confused! A midi skirt is below the knee length, almost ankle length, but not a maxi skirt aka not foot-length.

What is “Petite woman” or “Petite fashion?

There is still this sad stereotype about Petite women. Many people think Petite means a very tiny and skinny woman. However, Petite stands only for a woman who is below 5’4 (164cm), it only refers to height and not weight or size.

I had to start with the best skirt in my closet and the skirt that has been in my closet for years. Over the years, I even lost weight but managed to tailor the skirt to fit me anyway (that is how much I love the skirt).

The flared skirt is the perfect skirt for spring. I have worn the skirt to work in an office, to an art gallery, to the theatre and so many more. Usually, I wear the flared midi skirt with a nice black blouse or top (this time I went for the basic black tee and rhinestone transparent top over it.

What I hate about getting precious gems like this skirt in small local boutiques- I cannot share the link with you or any information. However, I do suggest you spend a few hours researching your city and finding a few good boutiques to revisit from time to time (I promise you will find great fashion items).

If the first skirt is very sophisticated and classy, the second shirt is very casual and even more comfortable. However, it is still feminine, and elegant and would even fit in the coquette trend. The chiffon midi skirt is in pink, with a floral print and is elastic making it fit any body type and size a lot better. I style up the midi skirt for spring or summer with a white sweater and flats, or for a more casual look with a white t-shirt and sneakers.

Sophisticated satin skirt outfit

A Satin midi skirt is another staple piece in my closet that I would style up in classy outfits, or style down in a more casual look. Therefore, the skirt has become my most worn skirt in spring. However, only recently I found out how beautiful it looks with a striped black and white sweater. The sweater somehow makes the outfit even more luxurious, and interesting and gives old money aesthetics. Last but not least, I added my vintage sock boots (Code KP15 for $15 off).
