Each year, I talk about yearly fashion trends because it is fun to know what happens in the fashion world. As a Petite stylist, I always tell Petites that your style is a lot more important than fashion trends. However, I still love to incorporate some fashion trends that suit short women, and I can incorporate them into my style.

What are the fashion colour trends for 2025?
Trending colours are what I am excited and interested in more than any other trends. The colour is the easiest way how to follow trends. However, it is also fun if you get bored of the same colours and colours can be incorporated in any style.
Fashion experts predict that yellow will be trending in 2025. Starting with creamy light vanilla yellow to bright saffron yellow. Yellow is not a colour for everybody (it usually looks better on darker skin tones). However, yellow looks very luxurious when worn in accessories- silk scarves, bags or shoes.
Last but not least, red continues to stay on the top. In Autumn 2024, burgundy red is popping. However, in 2025, all kinds of reds will be seen in fashion, especially bright red. As a feminine woman, I love red. Red is perfect and easy to add to any outfit- starting with red lipsticks, red berets, shoes and bags or a red blouse. Finally, style red with denim blue, black tailored pants or skirt and white denim in summer.
Aquatic inspiration
The fashion runway in 2025 will be water-inspired- starting with liquid blue designs, mermaid dresses and different mixed blueprints in general. 2025 is your year to turn into a mermaid! Any sculpting and visually flattering vertical prints and details look great on Petite women. Choose a midi mermaid dress for a lengthening effect.
Ballet and pilates-inspired activewear
2025 will be for feminine-sports-inspired activewear. The trend will include nude and beige tights or leggings, ballet tutu skirts and balloon skirts. Any mini skirts look great on Petites as they show a lot of skin and legs (visually lengthening your legs). Lastly, nude skin-coloured tones are very flattering for shorties as well.
Trending prints in 2025 fashion
We are in full bloom of wearing leopard print, as the Autumn trend for 2024. Do not throw it out because in 2025 all animal prints will be trending- leopard, tiger, snake and others.
However, the other trending prints will be blossom, flower and garden prints. Flower prints will look fabulous in spring outfits. For short women, I suggest going for small prints and not large flower prints.
Strapless dress
One of the most flattering fashion trends for Petites include dresses. Strapless dresses will be popping. Firstly, strapless dresses are beautiful for summer (can get the tan right). Secondly, it is very flattering for Petite women as they relieves more skin. I have a stunning strapless black dress that also has the asymmetric design in it.
Asymmetry details
Talking about the asymmetry, asymmetry details are trending in 2025 fashion. Asymmetry includes one shoulder dresses and tops, different cut skirts and dresses.
Suede fabric
We will go from the trending satin fabric to suede fabric. Suede fabric is usually used in blazers as well as dresses. However, no fashion trends for Petites can exist without mini skirts like the one in the picture.
