How much shorter is a Petite dress?
Regular-sized dresses are for women 5’4-5’8, but Petite sizes are for women 4’11-5’3.
Are Petite clothes just shorter?
In general speaking, yes. Petite only means shorter, not smaller or thinner. However, there are more details that designers take into consideration when creating clothing for Petite women. Usually, the whole frame of a Petite is smaller and shorter, even waist, arms, and shoulders.
Petite fashion tips when choosing your spring dress
You can wear everything you want and how you want. However, there are a few fashion tips for shopping for a dress. Firstly, I prefer above-the-knee dresses. Showing a bit more skin will make you look taller!
Secondly, for midi or maxi dresses, search for a dress that has a slit or at least vertical lines and details. Last but not least, when shopping for oversize, A-line, or more flowy dresses, I suggest cinching it with the belt to accentuate your waist!
How to style a dress in spring?
I love styling dresses in spring. You will need only four items to create different looks for spring while still feeling good and comfortable. Firstly, I love to style spring dresses with ankle boots or combat boots and a faux leather jacket. However, my favorite style is a denim jacket and sneakers (preferably white but depends on the dress).

I bought the most beautiful embroidered flower Amazon dress last year. The dress is in black mesh, with long sleeves, and has a beautiful embroidered floral print. Spring is all about flowers and blossoms. I do not want to wear flower prints even in summer as much as I do in spring.
Last year I wore the dress during fashion week, and I was obsessed.
Kloth flower dress
One of the last fashion items I received is this beautiful flower dress from Kloth_London. I will repeat- everyone needs a flower print dress in spring! Kloth_London is a very new brand for Petites, that creates beautiful dresses for short women. Sleeves are the perfect length, and so is the dress. Last but not least, the ruffle part is what I love the most giving even more feminine vibes. By the way, the dress is available in other prints and colors too! I suggest looking at the green dress as it is very trendy in 2022.
Kloth red dress
In 2022 fashion trends show that bold colors are a thing! Therefore, the Fuschia pink, raspberry pink midi dress from Kloth_London. The button-up dress is so flattering and feminine for Petite women. I love to unbutton it a little bit to make a little slit for the dress. The dress can be styled up and down in different ways. Wear the dress with booties, flats, or converse sneakers.
Dane fashion date night dress

In general, I am all about simple items with cute designs and small details. For example, this cut-out mini black dress. Everyone needs the little black dress, but the small cut-out is for the trend for the last few years.
WISHLIST of spring dresses
Karen Millen dress
Green is very trendy this year, and searching for the best green dress I found this one from Karen Millen. It is sleeveless, therefore seems not meant for spring. However, with the way it is designed, seems very appropriate for warm springtime. You can layer it up with a white top or blouse underneath to make it warmer.
Ann Taylor shirt dress
Spring dresses for Petites cannot miss the shirt dress. Shirt dress from Ann Taylor in blue and with pleated skirt. Pleat is something very in style this year. Ann Taylor dress is the perfect Petite dress for women that love a more elegant and classy style.
