Review: Live Skincare

Sometimes stars bring you work which is meant to be, contacts and brands that are meant to be! Lately as we can notice on my blogs, those are brands about skincare products, smaller skincare products and brands that not many people know about.

Trying out all these brands, we can see that new, smaller brands can be as good or better as well-known brands and we should give them more chance and recognition. That is where I step in! Today I will tell you about new products in my skincare routine.

About the brand

First thing we notice when clicking on Live Skincare website is: No animal testing, natural ingredients, Non GMO products and fragrance free. Brands and products like that are what make my brand and name special, I am all into trying cruelty-free and natural products. We can also see good reviews from customers and the products are developed by dermatologists.

Live Skincare was developed in 2014. Long story short, the founder Tamy wanted to find great skincare products for her skin and when she did not succeed, she used her experience and knowledge to create her own skincare paradise named Live Skincare.

Products. Live Skincare products main ingredients and key ingredients are Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid. On the website we see that Live Skincare mostly have serums and even whole serum kits for acne and anti- ageing products. A surprise for me is that the brand also has skincare devices like vacuum for blackheads (in my wish list) and wrinkle device. I do not understand what the “free” products mean and what are they about, because on website you can see products which are labelled as free (which we know has some trick, obviously. Seems like they are like a gifts if you purchase some of their products).

Hydration serum

Ingredients. Hydration serum includes Aloe and that explains a lot because Aloe is my one of the favourite for skincare products. I have 100% pure Aloe in my fridge right now and it helps bruises, injuries, wrinkles, acne and so much more. Aloe also is the one which gives serum slightly sticky texture.

Jojoba oil, Vitamin E and Green tea extract are the ones that are supposed to firm skin and give radiant effect.

Hyaluronic Acid is known as very good skin hydrator and natural plumper. Hyaluronic acid helps for dry and dull skin increasing moisture levels and decreasing fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. This serum is able to hold 1000x its weight in water which gives plumped skin.

Directions. Shake a bottle. Apply pea sized amount (I think I use about two). If using toner, apply before Hydration serum. Apply on clean and damp skin. Follow your regular skincare regimen and lastly, apply Live moisturiser to lock in the Hyaluronic Acid.  Recommended to use after shower.

Results. My skin feels very smooth and plumped after weeks of using the products. But even after few uses, skin feels more plumped and moisturised. I like a lot how the product soaks in, is not oily and feels very light, but the texture of it is thick, a bit jelly (that might be the job of Aloe). Do not use a lot! A little goes a long way.

Radiant cream

Ingredients. Hyaluronic Acid leaves the skin moisturised.

Snail extract is one of the secrets of Korean skincare (and everyone knows how much I like Korean skincare products). Snail extract activates damaged and ageing skins, stimulates the production of elastin and collagen.

Green Tea Extract neutralises damaging free radicals delaying signs of ageing like sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles and hyper pigmentation.

Peptides make sure that the skin cells create more collagen, giving the appearance of more youthful supple skin.I

Results. Live Skincare moisturiser feels very rich, nourishing and thick. I would advice to not apply a lot, it is a bit oily. If you have dry or normal skin tone than you will be in love with this product because the skin feels very nourished after using it.

I have mentioned before that most of the skincare products, especially if they are a bit oily, I enjoy using at night before going to sleep so my skin is relaxed, nourished and ready for makeup the next day. What I like the most about Radiant cream is how silky and smooth my skin feels like after using the cream.

These both serums I mentioned before (Hydration serum and Radiant cream) are part of my everyday skincare routine now.

Conclusion (thoughts, tips)

The packaging is pretty but simple. Really liked the way how they have created their collection with not going too over board with it.

The scent is very natural, creamy and fresh- just natural skincare scent. If you are very sensitive for perfumes and fragrances, these will be great for you.

I am really enjoying the serum with Aloe in it. My skin really loves aloe, aloe seems to leave my skin relaxed and fresh. Radiant cream is very moisturising and a bit oily but just as much as needed, my dry spots on skin is thankful for the cream.

Tips. Do not use too much. It is just not necessary and will leave your skin too oily. Try to follow the instructions I mentioned before. I love using my skincare products at night but I will like these you could use in the morning as well. Do not forget to shake the product before using.

DISCUSSION. How do you find smaller brands or are you using products only for big, well-known brands? Do you believe bloggers representing their products?
