Portugal outfit inspiration for women from my last trip to Lagos, Portugal. Lagos is situated in Algarve and from the foreigners we saw, it is very popular place. I have visited Portugal a few times. But this time, I finally spent a good quality time and a few days in Portugal. Therefore, I decided to share the summer travel outfits that I wore: for the date night, hiking and daily casual looks. However, if you are interested in where to stay or what to see in Lagos, I will include that travel information in this Portugal travel guide as well!
These are the perfect outfits for Petite women and very flattering for short women. Now let’s start with Portugal outfit inspiration for women.

Date night outfit
For Portugal, I wore a neon mini dress as a date night look. Neon lime green tones are trending this year. However, I chose the dress because I bought it months ago for a really good price in Spain, El Corte Ingles. The dress will look great with sandals or high heel shoes. Last but not least, I added my new colourful shoulder bag from Shein.
Casual exploring outfit
My go-to travel casual daily outfit includes linen shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. This time I wore the black linen shorts from Mango (another great deal I got), as well as, a white top from Shein, or the white t-shirt from Massimo Dutti. Finally, I wore my shoulder bag and Kendall+Kylie sandals. However, in the second photo I changed sandals for Converse sneakers and those are very comfortable and suitable for Portugal outfit inspiration.
Chic feminine outfit
Recently I got the best softest midi slit skirt for Petite women from the small Petite brand. Since then, I have worn it non-stop whenever I travel or go out. I love to style the olive green midi skirt with a white top or black top. This time I added the black corset bralette from YesStyle and black Stradivarius over-top. However, in the second outfit, I wore black bodysuit from Stradivarius and a white button-up shirt.
Lagos Portugal Travel guide
Where to eat in Lagos?
Chicken Piri Piri
You must try the famous chicken Piri Piri. It is a grilled chicken with the spicy Piri Piri sauce. Many places in Lagos offers Piri Piri chicken, to take away or eat it in the restaurant.
Pastel de Nata
Pastel de Nata is a sweet and tasty treat to have with your coffee. I would suggest trying it in the local bakery or coffee shop as they are fresh. Pastel de Nada has a cream filling and is very tasty.
Bacalhau a bras
Whenever I go to Portugal, I always want to eat Bacalhau a bras! It is very tasty fish meal, mixed with eggs and potatoes. However, in Lagos not many places offer the Bacalhau a bras. However, I would suggest you to order any type of fish because they all taste great in Portugal.
Where did we eat in Lagos, Portugal?
- Amuras bar. We ate the first day and the food was a traditional complex meal but not the best for the price. I suggest the place for cocktails.
- Dynasty. Chinese restaurant with an amazing view over the port.
- Inna. Portuguese restaurant managed by Ukranians. This is the place to go for Bacalhau a bras
- Frango Piri Piri. Located in the old town- managed by Indians they offer kebab or the piri piri chicken.
- Restaurante Chefe Artur. A full plate of the best quality meat, fries and salad with a drink (like a bottle of wine or beer) for only 12 EUR for a person!
- Restaurante Reis. Great more fancy restaurant but not expensive for the price. Order the fish Dorada!
Where to stay in Lagos on a budget?
We stayed in Boutique Hotel Marina S. Roque which is located close to the port. Firstly, the hotel came with breakfast (not the best coffee, but a good breakfast enough to eat).
I loved the location because it is close to the centre while located in a quiet district. Secondly, it was closer to the big beach rather than the Pinterest-worthy small beaches that were crowded.
I suggest going to the wide beach if you want a quiet beach. Finally, the hotel had a nice refreshing swimming pool that we used as well!
What to do and see in Lagos?
- Hiking to Ponte de Piedade. We hiked by the coast to Ponte de Piedade and it was a beautiful, but hot route.
- I would also suggest watching the sunset at Ponte de Piedade. You can do it on other beaches too but the best place to see it is Ponta de Piedade.
- Have a picnic on the beach. We wanted to order the Piri piri chicken and have it on the beach but it was too windy and we were too tired.
- Swim in the ocean. How can you go to the Lagos and not swim in the ocean? The water was calm and not too cold when we went to Lagos.
- Walk around the old town. Old town has beautiful street art, stunning houses and local restaurants.
- Shop at the street market near the port. You will find artists selling souvenirs as well as summer beach clothing and more.
