Hello, my Petite ladies. Valentine’s day is coming very fast, and time is running out, but I am here with Guide for Valentine’s Day outfits and looks inspiration. Today I am going to link some great outfits, that I spent some time sticking together and linking for you. However, I am also going to share some special fashion tips for my Petite women.
Do not worry if your budget is low, I have linked a few very affordable Petite fashion ideas. Therefore, the blog post is for everyone, and after all, you can always use this blog post only for inspiration if you are not in a shopping mood. Most of these clothing is available in regular sizing as well, in case you are above 5’3/160 cm!

What means Petite in fashion?
Firstly, I always love to remind my readers what means Petite women, and petite in fashion. Petite never, and I repeat never relates to weight and size. Petite fit only relates to the height of people and usually talks about women under 5’3 or 160! Are you a Petite then? Then keep reading, if not – still do because many of these outfits are available in regular sizing.
What do you wear as a Petite for a date night?
I wanted to start by giving some tips for Petite women. Do not take it personally, and it does not mean you cannot wear anything else. These tips are for you if you want to elevate your Valentine’s Day outfit and look visually taller than you are. You can also mix-match different ideas, tips, and outfits to create your own perfect Valentine’s Day look!
- Dresses above the knee! (mini dresses)
- 2/3 rule. Wear a cropped blouse or top with a maxi skirt or pants.
- If you wear a maxi or midi skirt/ dress, choose the one with a slit that will lengthen your legs.
- Boots or shoes with a pointed toe and a heel
- Tops and dresses with a heart neckline or V neckline
- Plain tights or tights with a decorative vertical line
Now that this is out of the way, we can finally start with the fun part: Petite Valentine’s day outfits!
Petite Valentine’s Day outfits
Dane fashion dress + high boots + coat International
I always prefer to share outfits that I have in real life and have worn. It is not possible for all outfits and looks that I find. However, for Valentine’s Day this year, I chose chic, sexy, and feminine outfits from Dane’s fashion.
The flower print dress has corset details, as well as a heart neckline which as we found out is flattering for Petite women. The material is very thin but looks beautiful and cinches in well. However, I do not recommend it if you have a very big chest area. Mine is pretty big, and I struggled a bit to make it look great. In the end, I love it and have worn it once already!
Talking about the over-the-knee boot, those who follow my social media know I tested them in Madrid streets and gave it a good review on a Youtube video. In conclusion or a few words, I recommend them 100%!
Last but not least is the oversize, one-size coat in black. The coat looks very big and puffy, but when you cinch in the waist using a belt it creates beautiful folds around the waist!
Loft blouse+ straight pants (regular and petite)
The Loft blouse is perfect for aesthetically elegant women that do not want to go overboard with pink and red. V neckline and the wider sleeves make it even more flattering. However, ruffles are the ones giving the blouse a flirty and girly look.
For petite women, straight pants that end where the ankles are or a little bit above look very flattering. Wear pointy-toe pumps with these straight pants from Loft.
Loft sweater + leggings + leather jacket
I tried to create one outfit from one brand. However, Loft gave me a few more ideas. and I could not resist. The casual sweater look is for more casual date ideas or if you will spend Valentine’s day at home.
The LOFT offers so many great heart print sweaters, and not only that I did not know which to choose. However, on my LTK I linked a few more that caught my eyes. This sweater I chose is one of the affordable options and also was more elegant than others.
Style the sweater up with plain pocket leggings from Loft. Leggings made for Petites are hard to find, so grab ones while they still have them.
Last but not least, if you do decide to run outside to grab some coffee or takeaway, get yourself the quilted faux leather bomber jacket.
Ann Taylor midi dress + funnel neck coat + stiletto heel booties
Are you a woman always in dresses? I am trying to convert myself into it because spending a lot of time at home has made me want to wear more dresses when I am outside.
I found the elegant heart wrap dress for Petites from Ann Taylor. The print is small and minimalistic. The dress itself cinches in and has a V-neck- very flattering details for us Petites. The dress is great for more conservative women or women over 40 years old.
Style up the dress with these beautiful black stiletto heel booties. As we talked about before, ankle boots with pointed-toe are a must-have for Petites during the winter, and spring season.
Karen Millen burgundy red dress + stiletto flattering heels UK & Ireland
Karen Millen is my dream brand for elegance and feminity. When talking about Valentine’s day, many think about bright red tones or hot pink colours. How about some Burgundy red? Red that will look great with your red wine? The dress from Karen Millen has a V-neck line, cinched in waist and long sleeves. I tried to choose outfits with mostly long sleeves as it is February and in most countries, it is very cold (even in Spain where I am at).
However, the fun part comes with the most flattering booties/ shoes from Karen Millen. A must-have for Petite women if you have the budget. Not only do these shoes have a heel and a pointed toe. The beautiful heels have a raindrop-shaped cut for where the feet go. Therefore visually lengthening your legs up to the sky!
Light pink ASOS dress + croc faux leather coat + ankle boots + pink bag
All the looks before were bolder and brighter oriented tones. However, when I saw the light pink dress on ASOS, I fell in love! I love the volume sleeves and the smock design. The dress cinches in the waist creating a beautiful shape.
However, as the dress itself is so feminine, I wanted to bring it down a little bit with some accessories. Therefore, I added the chic but bossy-vibe croc faux leather coat with a fur collar.
To continue, I dug deep to find the perfect ankle boots. Ankle boots with croc texture, as well, as pointed toes for the flattering look, and a mix of edgy, and feminine style.
You are not ready for the bag I found. The pink Steve Madden bag looks perfect with the whole style I made and Petite Valentine’s day outfit. The bag has rhinestones all over it which from far away gives an edgy vibe, while the bubble pink tone settles it down!
Boohoo Valentine’s sale: Petite hot pink blouse + skirt
I mentioned the affordable fashion for you, and Boohoo offers whole outfits and more for less than $50. My attention caught the hot pink blouse. The blouse will be very versatile in spring. Bold colours are in trend this year, and you will be able to wear them with jeans even or a pencil skirt for work.
However, for Valentine’s day, I suggest you wear it with the quilted popper detail mini skirt in black!
Wine red drawstring long-sleeve dress
Last but not least for Petite Valentine’s Day outfits, the bodycon mini dress is in wine colour. I did not plan to include this dress. However, I fell in love with the simplicity of it, while still looking cute, and elegant. The dress has a drawstring detail that runs from above across the body giving a more flattering look. It is the perfect date night dress for winter that you can style up and down easily using accessories.
