We will recreate famous petite-style icons, and I wanted to start with the most stylish Petite fashion icons like Carrie Bradshaw! Carrie Bradshaw is the main character in Sex and the city, played by Sarah Jessica Parker (I am obsessed with her style even outside her role).
I recently rewatched the TV show since the first episode. If you have not done that, I suggest you watch it. It is hilarious to watch the famous people they mention, that are now in prison, or them laughing at some fashion styles, that now are in trend! Rewatching the show and especially Carrie Bradshaw inspired me. She was the writer who started from zero, was struggling writing newspaper columns, and dreaming of luxury shoes. I always thought she always had money, but it turns out it was not like that. Therefore, she inspired me and reminded me kind of myself: I am a writer, I love fashion, and I am Petite! To all my Petite ladies, we can reach dreams, we can wear fashion, and we can dream of our Jimmy Choo shoes!

The famous tulle skirt look
Firstly I wanted to introduce you to the iconic look in case you do not know what I am talking about or maybe you forgot. Carrie Bradshaw has her iconic (do not drink every time I say iconic, please) hair. She wears a white tulle mini skirt and light pink or purple tank top (probably bodysuit). Her style is very feminine and always has been over-the-top style but in the best way!
How I came up with my recreation?
A few years ago, I bought my first ever bodysuit in pastel lilac from Stradivarius (it looks very similar to the one that wears Carrie).
I had an idea for a long time to recreate famous Petite-style icons in my blog but I never had a chance. However, a page called Must-Have skirt offered me a collaboration. Looking into their page I noticed the most beautiful tulle skirt and variety of it and knew that I need to use the opportunity to fulfill my dream and turn into Carrie Bradshaw!
The bodysuit
I already mentioned before the bodysuit I got from Stradivarius- I am not sure if they still have it. However, I will look for dupes and similar affordable tops or bodies that can do the trick. However, the bodysuit I have from Stradivarius is very thick, stretchy but on the body type of material! The bodysuit has buttons in the crotch area (do not buy one that does not have, and do not wear a bodysuit that has buttons to the beach). I have seen women doing that, and it always ends in disaster if you know what I mean!
I linked two options- one with no sleeves and another beautiful top with sleeves (more appropriate for the winter). However, was difficult to find tops probably as it is wintertime.
The famous tulle skirt
How to dress like Carrie Bradshaw? Get yourself a tulle skirt. The tulle skirt from MustHaveSkirt that I chose has the best quality-price ratio that I did not expect. I chose this skirt because of the good reviews as well, and as it stated it has five coats of tulle. You never know what to expect when ordering from new web pages, and especially about specific items like Tulle Skirt. However, MustHaveSkirt did not let me down with their quality at all! The store offers different colours as well as lengths!
What heels to wear?
I went from wearing high heels every day to no heels at all in the last three years. Therefore, I did not have a lot to choose from. However, I still love the heels and the feminine touch they have (I do not have where to wear them). In the end, I found light pink pointed-toe stilettos from the Zign brand. For you, I will try to link shoes that look more like Carrie Bradshaw princess shoes.
