I feel like I always need to remind what Petite means! One of the reasons I am doing this is to change people’s perception of Petites. The most flattering neckline for Petites is the heart neckline or V neckline. Avoid straight horizontal necklines that cut your body and visually shorten you!

When you are a petite short woman, you need to think about designs and details that visually lengthen your torso. For example, vertical lines will always make you look visually longer! Therefore, a dress with any small vertical embroidered flowers and pleated skirt parts will make you visually longer.
A slit is your friend!
Most wedding dresses are either midi or maxi dresses. However, Petites maxi dresses (especially if you want to choose the cake type of dress) will make you look shorter than you are! Therefore, look for a dress that has a slit! Not only it will make your legs look longer, but it also adds some spice and sexiness (I love a bit of spice in a wedding dress).

Another way how to choose a midi or maxi dress is to choose a dress that has a shorter front part and a longer skirt on the back! I love the dresses like that because they show a bit of leg and the flowy line makes your legs look longer while still being very elegant for your special day!

I am all about wedding dress cinching you in your waist! This Petite fashion tip is called the 2/3 fashion rule! By cinching your waist your legs look longer. If you will add other fashion tips that we talked about today, you will be the most gorgeous bride. Well, you will be anyway, but just visually longer.

Bodycon sleek dresses always look extra-elegant and extra-flattering on Petites. Tight-on body dresses make you look like an actual vertical column or statue.
