You will learn about Madrid Outfits and the best Instagrammable places in Madrid. Recently, I spent almost five days in Madrid with my mom and I wanted to share everything you need to know about fashion, outfits, and the best photo spots in Madrid, Spain. Each time I plan to travel anywhere, I plan my outfits according to the weather, location, activities, and comfort. However, more about that later. Please comment below if you have questions about Madrid and need any travel tips or suggestions or follow my Instagram (and check highlights).

How to choose the best outfits for trips?
How many days are you there? Firstly, I start by planning how many outfits I need. I choose one outfit for one day usually (and then some extra for going out or date night). However, I always wear something casual and simple for the days on the road! Finally, if you do not have a lot of space to pack many outfits, plan clothing that you can mix and match with each other easily.
Then, I take into consideration the weather. Look at the weather forecast, is it hot or cold, windy or rainy, etc? Thirdly, think about what your plans are for your destination. Will you do a lot of activities, spend a lot of time outside, or go to museums?
I suggest never forgetting about comfort. You never want to feel uncomfortable, have blisters on your feet, or not be able to move freely. I always choose comfortable flat shoes (at least one or two sneakers and a pair of classy, more feminine shoes for nights out).
Last but not least, research the destination and use Pinterest for inspiration. Pay attention to colours in the city and what outfits would fit the aesthetics of the city! When I was in Barcelona, I chose a lot of red tones in my outfits. However, for Madrid, as it is a business and a more classy capital, I decided to wear a more classy minimalistic street style.
Where to shop in Madrid?
- Calle Serrano. The famous luxury street. The street where you take photos, and then go shopping in Zara.
- El Aplauso. Amazing shoes made in Spain. My mom bought a pair and hopes they will be comfortable.
- Gran Via. Gran Via is one of the main streets with many high-street shops and local stores.
- El Engogo is located on Gran Via. Small shop with amazing customer service and creative fashion. I discovered a new brand called Koker! And I bought a dress!
- Las Rozas village. Last but not least, the huge outlet outside the city. I have never been there but I hope to go one day in the future.
Madrid outfits I wore
The elegant look for walking around the city
For the day around the city and day to visit the Royal palace, I chose my midi satin skirt, and horizontal line sweater I have from Stradivarius. The bag is from Parfois and I got it for only 12 EUR!
As the comfortable sneakers, I took my new sustainable Barbie pink sneakers for Vivaia (use code VKRISTINE for 10% off). The most comfortable sneakers I have ever had! The sneakers matched perfectly with almost all my Madrid outfits.
Flare midi skirt look for the art museum
Recently, I shopped in my closet and discovered the most beautiful skirt I bought a long time ago in a local store.
I decided to wear my new black ballet flats from Vivaia. I was afraid that they would hurt my feet as it was my first time wearing them. However, I still walked in them 20k steps and it was not bad at all for the first day wearing them. Use code VKRISTINE to save up!
Casual but fashionable denim look
For casual but stylish Madrid outfits, I took my split-end denim jeans from Boohoo Petite, and my new floral jacket from YesStyle (code GLAMCOFFEE), and styled it up with a red long-sleeve top from Shein.
Tennis skirt and hoodie
However, another cute and comfortable look (if you do not like denim) is to style a tennis skirt with any hoodie you have. The whole outfit is feminine, comfortable, and stylish. However, I saw a woman wearing the same tennis skirt with a long vest and now I need a vest!
Little black dress
One day we went to watch the musical Pretty Woman and I decided to wear the new black dress I bought in Madrid! Madrid outfits can be elegant and feminine.
Best Instagrammable places in Madrid City
- El Prado Museum. Very photogenic museum. I suggest you go in the morning before 10 am to avoid crowds.
- Royal Palace. Another majestic place to shoot from different angles. However, need to visit in the morning!
- El Retiro. Retiro Park is a very calm and chill place for more natural photos near waters and trees.
- Calle Serrano. The perfect spot for more luxurious city photos.
Where to stay in Madrid (with a pet)?
Firstly, I know the hotel is not about the topic. However, I had to include the hotel review because it was an amazing aparthotel in the center of Madrid (Gran Via 47). The hotel’s name is Smartr Madrid Gran Via 47 and the doors are next to the Atlético Madrid store. Not only that, but it also allows pets (as I went with my pet bunny it was very important for me). The only con was that the walls were very thin and could hear neighbors! However, we were lucky and the neighbors were not very noisy!
