Winter basics for Petite women

I have written before about the fashion basics and what you should have in your wardrobe to feel warm and cute. However, the most important style tip is to invest money in a few good coats and a pair of warm winter boots. Therefore, today we will talk more about outfits and how to wear clothing in winter.

How to style outfits for winter as a Petite?

How to style a classy wool coat?

A wool coat is one of the winter essentials, even if you do not have a classy style. Because the wool coat can be worn to weddings, theatre or church (extraordinary events). I was lucky and got my wool coat from Mango for around 40 EUR. The coat gives me a Maid in Manhattan vibes. However, if you live in very cold weather, it will not keep you warm enough.

How do I wear and style my warm winter coat for winter? Mostly I wear the coat with my white winter knitted sweater and my favourite plaid mini skirt (which in reality is skort). For extra warmth, you can wear leggings or winter tights underneath. Finally, I added my usual black winter boots.

However, when I travel or want a more casual outfit, I will wear an elegant winter coat with blue mom jeans. The beige colour of the coat matches perfectly with blue jeans. However, notice that I still wear a white sweater (this time my turtle neck sweater). Turtle necks and high-neck tops are perfect for winter layering and keep your neck warm.

Layering up with leather leggings

A few years ago, I got the suede faux fur jacket from Hollister (another great deal for 50 EUR). This is the most gorgeous and warmest jacket for winter. The jacket is too big for me, which in the beginning I did not like. However, I realised how comfortable it is and how easy it is to layer it up for the winter. Therefore, I suggest everyone order a winter coat one size up!

You can wear jeans. However, to elevate the look, I wear my leather leggings with the coat. The dark brown fur is the perfect transition between a black jacket and black leggings. For extra warmth, I usually layer my leather leggings with a knitted dress or sweater. I added my Ideal of Sweden bag too. This is the perfect winter outfit for travelling in winter and walking around Christmas markets.

You can wear skirts in winter!

How to wear skirt in winter? Preferably, choose longer skirt (like the one in the photo). This year I have decided to layer up and wear my long satin skirt. Satin is still trending and looks very sleek and chic on any woman. I styled my champagne satin skirt with blazer and beret (beret is another chic winter accessory). This is a great outfit because you can wear it with the wool coat or puffer coat to stay warmer.

However, I have discovered the tulle skirt, and I am not going back. Tulle skirts usually have many layers, which makes them very warm (it does not look like it, but it does). The tulle skirt makes me feel like a winter fairy, witch and princess in one. You can style the tulle skirt with everything, including leather leggings, and tights. However, I suggest you to wear it with faux fur coat for warmth. Finally, I had to wear the tulle skirt with my favourite holiday winter sweater.
