Welcome to the blog post with tips on how to pack your road trip bag (will also include my road trip checklist). Obviously, as a fashion blogger, I will mostly concentrate on road trip looks and outfits.
I am going away for a Eurotrip. We will travel from Spain, through France, Germany and Poland up to Latvia (takes three days). The idea is to go from point A (Spain) to point Z (Latvia), while stopping in between to spend the night. However, we always have a walk around the city we stay in. Therefore, we try to choose very beautiful cities (this time Gdansk, Beaune and Nuremberg).
The idea of the road trip bag is to have a smaller hand luggage bag, or backpack to take with you to hotels. As we are going away for a month, I would not like to bring my big suitcase every day to hotels with me.
However, remember we still need to return back and decided to drive through different countries this time. Therefore, if you are interested in the travelling aspect of it as well as hotels, follow my Instagram and also blog to not miss out on information about Europe.

Tips on how to pack your road trip bag
- Weather. Always be sure you pack it accordingly to the weather.
- Comfort. Your outfits and especially sneakers or any footwear must be comfortable that does not squeeze your ribs and you can walk or even run in if needed.
- Material. Choose materials that do not wrinkle, are easy to wash and try to avoid any white or light-coloured outfits.
- Activities and occasions. Except if you only leave the car to go to the hotel to sleep and then continue, you will need to think about what places will you visit. When we do road trips, we mostly see places or cities where we stay, so I will want to pack some kind of city break outfit or even dinner outfit.
What I am packing for my road trip bag?
This is the approximate list of what I will pack or what I usually pack. Some things are always taken out or added more when I know more about the weather or plan my outfits and try to not over-pack.
Beauty products
Natural makeup products, a few skincare products (usually I put in some samples), hygiene products and perfume.
Slippers or slides
Sometimes I forget slippers, or I think I will not need them if I have no space. However, it is always nice to have slippers in a hotel after you shower.
Sneakers
Usually, the sneakers that I am wearing already. However, if you have a free space, throw in another pair just in case they break or get wet. Remember, if there is anything you will need or forgot to put in your road trip bag, you still have your suitcase near by! Therefore, do not need to worry too much of not having an extra pair.
Cotton or leather leggings
Wherever I go, I always pack leggings. Maybe leggings are my comfort food, I mean fashion item but they are the most comfortable.
Biker shorts
However, biker shorts are the comfortable item that I usually always wear. Biker shorts are great for road trips, you do not get hot in them and can wear them with hoodies, button-up shirts and in so many different ways.
Jeans
Jeans are not comfortable for the actual road trip. However, nice pair of black jeans is a great transformation piece for a night in the city and dinner. Last but not least, I did take denim shorts in case it is too hot for jeans.
Chiffon shorts
If you follow me on my Instagram, you know that I discovered the best chiffon shorts and how amazing they are for travelling. The chiffon shorts I have not only are comfortable, and flattering but also look like a skirt and can be styled up for a night out.
Basic tops/ t-shirts
The best tops are basic tops when it comes to travelling. Order some from Amazon, or shop in Zara and Stradivarius. That is where all my basic tops and tank tops come from. However, I do add some graphic tee too. Basic and graphic t-shirts are the best to style up or down for any occasion.
Midi skirt
Firstly, I wrote a dress. However, the dress is a tricky one and I do not feel like wearing dresses on my road trips. However, I do feel like changing my casual shorts or leggings for a midi skirt. The satin midi skirt I have for around five years I wear everywhere I go. White sneakers look the best with a midi skirt.
Hoodie/cardigans
Nights usually are chill. Therefore I added my cute pink cropped cardigan for chill nights. However, I also added Levi’s black hoodie in case it is very cold and I want to be more comfortable.
Button up shirt
Button-up shirts I love to throw on during the actual road trip. In the car when it can get chill or when you need to run to the toilet. Here I am, avoiding my own rules and choosing the wrinkliest shirt I own (but it is cute though). I need a pink SATIN shirt!
Underwear
Last but not least, underwear. Take the most comfortable underwear for the trips and chill, girl, you do not need 20 pairs for three days.
