In January, we talked about the best fashion trends in summer and spring 2023. However, today we will talk about fashion trends 2023 for Petites that I hate. In other words, trends on Petite women that are not the most flattering.
However, it would not be my positive and tips-giving Petite fashion blog, if I would not find a solution. Therefore, I will give styling tips or what items to choose that will fit you better and make you look more confident.

Fashion trends 2023 for Petites that I hate!
- 3D flowers
- Goth style (heavy)
- DIY denim (patches)
- Buckles
- 1920s’ style (fringes, feathers)
- Multi pockets
- Bubble skirt
- Florals (large flower patterns)
- Bow details (big bows
- Sharp suiting (oversize)
3D flower design
3D flower designs are stylish and interesting. However, anything 3D makes short women look bulkier. However, I would suggest a small 3D flower-designed crop top or mini skirt (not a full-body moment).
I also got the stunning 3D flower dress (code GLAMCOFFEE) recently that is sold out and I have a hate-love relationship and cannot decide if I love it or not!
Goth style
All-black looks are great. However, the goth style usually is about heavy details like metal and bulky boots. Therefore, they make Petite women look heavy too! However, you can include some small details or just black monochromatic outfits.
I recently almost ordered the black leather blazer (code GLAMCOFFEE) (it gives a few heavy vibes, and is trendy but can be styled in a more flattering way).
DIY denim
DIY denim trends are not cute at all (patches that remind granny’s blanket). However, if you want to wear the denim trend, I suggest getting mini dresses, flare or skinny jeans that are flattering for Petites.
Buckles
Buckles are another detail that only makes you look heavy. However, I have seen cute crop tops with a small buckle underneath the chest area. As well as leather jackets with small buckles (that would make two trends into one).
1920s’ style
Do you know how 1920s style looks? 1920s looks include a lot of feathers and fringes! However, if you take the trend with elegance, small feathers trim or fringes, the trend will look great on you!
Multi pockets
We are today making a list of things that makes you look bulky! However, cute mini skirt or cargo pants with multi pockets is a cute piece (style with crop tops or bodysuit).
Bubble skirt
I do not like bubble skirts at all, it is just too much! However, if you run into one, choose the mini skirt option and style it with something skin-tight.
Floral
Big floral patterns are in style. However, as a Petite and not only, choose small flower patterns. Not only they will look more flattering on you, but they also will not bore you as fast and will be easier to style with different items. I recently got the a-line dress, it has a bigger flower pattern but as a mini dress, it is still flattering.
Bow details
Bows are cute, but not if they are the size of your chest or hips. However, when we talk about trends, these details are always exaggerated. Therefore, I suggest you choose anything with small bows and not too many!
Sharp suiting (oversize)
Last but not least, sharp suiting for my Petites in business. I suggest you get the whole oversize suit but wear it separately. Wear the oversize blazer with leggings or skinny jeans and wear wide pants with a bodysuit.
Fashion trends 2023 for Petites that I hate! Which of these trends will you wear and which you would never wear? Comment down below. I do not like the gothic style and bubble skirts. However, I will wear flower patterns and multi pockets on cargo pants.
