Fall fashion staples for Petites no one talks about! That is right. We all know about the usual Fall fashion essentials like leggings, leather jackets and Chelsea boots. However, I wanted to talk about Petite basics for Autumn that will give you style.
During the last three years, I discovered fall fashion staples while playing around with Petite outfits. Firstly, reading the blog post, you will learn what to wear for fall and winter. Fall for many stylish women is about basics, minimalistic outfits and a capsule wardrobe. However, while I am all about neutral clothing and basics, there are a few petite clothing items to make the fall looks more stylish. Last month I wrote about Petite-friendly Fall fashion trends in 2022. However, now you will discover stylish fall basics!

What are the fall fashion staples for Petites?
- Sweater / knit dress
- Tweed mini skirt
- Trench coat
- Button-up shirt
- Mom jeans
- Over-the-knee boots
- Bodysuit
- Faux fur teddy jacket
- Ankle boots
- Turtle neck top
Sweater / knit dress
A knitted dress or sweater dress is perfect for colder Fall weather. Do not be cold, wear a sweater dress. I recently ordered the pink casual sweater dress, that I wrote about last week. However, on my LTK shop, I have also linked sweater dresses that can be worn for work.
Tweed mini skirt
Chanel invented tweed outfits, and we are bringing them back. I got the tweed plaid mini skirt last year, and since then, it has been my favourite fall skirt. Petites should wear a mini skirt because it visually lengthens their legs.
Trench coat
I have always had problems finding a good-fitting trench coat for Petites. However, in 2022 I finally hit the jackpot and found the beige, classy trench coat for Petites.
Button-up shirt
Petite ladies that follow my social media and blog know I love my button-up shirts. However, I wanted one oversize shirt that is more fun for casual fall looks. Therefore, I went on NA-KD fashion and ordered the stylish Fuschia pink button-up shirt (they also have green for half the price and others).
Mom jeans
Firstly, in the usual autumn essentials for Petites, we would talk about skinny jeans. However, mom jeans are a lot more comfortable than skinny jeans, are stylish and styled in the correct way, and will look great on any Petite lady. The ripped mom jeans in the photos are from Boohoo, and I reviewed them on my blog.
Over-the-knee boots
Firstly, I have never had over-the-knee boots, and the ones I had, fell down off my tight or hurt my feet. However, last year I finally found the best OTK boots that a Petite woman can wish for. Secondly, the quality of these boots is fantastic, the boots are soft on the inside and outside, the heel is not too high, and the boot has a pointed toe. A pointed toe is not crucial. However, it does make Petite feet long longer.
Bodysuit
Women do the styling wrongly if they include t-shirts instead of bodysuits. Most importantly, a bodysuit gives a neat look to the outfit, is worn to work, or is included in daily looks.
Faux fur teddy coat
Forget about the leather jacket. I am just joking, still keep it around. However, add this blazer-looking, wide sleeve faux fur teddy coat in brown. The teddy jacket elevates any look and it only costs $15!
Ankle boots
Ankle boots, but not just any casual ankle boots. I mean the sock ankle boots, with a tiny heel and in cream or skin shade. Why do you need skin-coloured ankle boots? Because they look the best on Petite women.
Turtle neck top
Last but not least, a turtle neck top. The last one can seem very basic. However, I wanted to include it as I found a perfect Petite high-neck top on ASOS for an affordable price. Lastly, the turtle neck top can be styled with mom jeans or a tweed mini skirt.
