How to create a spring capsule wardrobe?

I listed some spring fashion essentials that I have included in my spring wardrobe. However, there are a few circumstances that you need to take into consideration when creating your unique wardrobe. Capsule wardrobe does not make sense if you copy paste someones wardrobe, but your style and daily routine is completely different. Therefore, I included a few points to take into consideration when shopping.

What is your routine?

You need to make any wardrobe considering your routine and activities. Are you very active, running errands, and moving around a lot? Or maybe you spend a whole day in the office? Your routine will describe your style and vibe- sporty? Classy? Cosy?

Climate.

The climate is very important because if you live in a warm country, you can buy more dresses, skirts, and essentials with shorter sleeves. However, if you are up in the North, you will probably want to include more pants, sweaters and jackets.

Colours.

What colours do you wear and describe you the best? It does not mean you need to fill your capsule wardrobe with these colours. Especially as a capsule wardrobe is usually filled with minimalistic tones. However, then you can see which neutral tones mix and match with the colours that you love. For example, if you love some pop of yellow, black will look stunning with it. Sky blue will look great with brown. Pink matches with black and gray, and even white. In the world full of aesthetic trends, do not be afraid of colours and show your style and pop of colour! I recently discovered how good graphic hoodies look with a black mini skirt or satin maxi skirt.

Horizontal black and white sweater

I would always suggest my petite ladies to not wear anything with horizontal lines as it can make you look wider. However, I recently got this knitted black and white sweater and fell in love with it! The sweater is not too heavy but feels cosy and comfortable. As the sweater is oversize, I wear it with leggings, jeans or even a skirt. The striped sweater got my heart and now is an essential piece for my spring wardrobe.

Longer cardigan

Every woman for spring needs a long and cosy cardigan. There are so many prints and colours to choose from.

Basic tops for layering

Basic tops in white and black are always essential (another option is bodysuits). I suggest basic tees from Amazon.

White button-up shirt

White button-ups are one of the staples because they can be styled and worn in hundred options. The white shirts look great as a cover-up and can be layered up with sweaters or jackets, worn with denim or leather and so many more options.

Denim button-up shirt

I do not wear a denim shirt too often. However, it looks great with leather leggings and as well looks great if you love to travel or hike.

Bottom essentials for spring wardrobe

Satin maxi skirt

Probably the nicest and sleekest skirt I own. Sometimes maxi skirts can give nun conservative vibes. However, the satin skirt looks elegant while still flattering.

Blue mom jeans

Cropped mom or boyfriend jeans with pumps looks amazing on any Petite!

Black pants (denim or not)

The best jeans I have found for Petite are from Stradivarius.

Dress must-haves for spring

Floral print dress

Dresses are something where you can include colours that you love and wear. Spring fashion is nothing without a cute floral dress. If you want to learn more, I wrote a whole article only about flower dresses.

Midi dress

However, a plain midi dress will look amazing with Chelsea booties and a leather jacket. Therefore, go a little bold with colours if that is what you love and tone it down with accessories!
