I always say, that even though there are Petite brands selling clothing for short women, I will still shop from regular pages. Therefore, I decided to share with you the brands and pages I shop from and suggest to you which pieces look great on Petites. A few months ago, I wrote a blog post about how to shop on regular pages that I suggest you read. However, now- can Petites shop from DressLily?

What is unique and special about the DressLily, they sell seasonal holiday clothing and costumes for Halloween, Christmas and even Valentine’s Day. If you are searching for cute Halloween costume, festive Christmas dress or just an ugly Christmas sweater, I would suggest looking into DressLily. What did I order from DressLily?
Black ruched dress
Details. Black in size M.
I ordered the black ruched dress as my elegant but trendy Fall dress. However, I did not know the dress was made from suede material. Therefore, it will be my winter date night or work dress.
However, the dress is soft, flattering and looks great with the ruched detail.
Is black ruched dress Petite approved?
The dress has oversize sleeves, but in a cute way (if you know what I mean). I would approve it as Petite friendly.
Pink sweater dress
Details. Size M in light pink.
Fall and winter fashion is the sweater dress season. I wanted a cute and flattering sweater knit dress to wear around the house but also dress it up with an over-the-knee boot. Therefore, I ordered the pink cinch-in sweater dress.
Is the pink sweater dress Petite approved?
Can Petites shop from DressLily? Yes, even though the sleeves are a bit too long. However, the sleeves are still manageable, and it looks like it was meant to be a bit too long. The length is the perfect length for Petite women!
Brown sweater dress

The brown sweater dress is where the first big problem comes from. I wanted a chunky knit sweater dress to wear with a belt (it looked very cute in the photo). However, the sleeves are very long for me. I might keep the dress to wear around the house in winter as it gets very cold. The dress itself is stunning, and the knit is high-quality but more suitable for taller women.
Is the brown sweater dress Petite approved?
No, because of the very long sleeves. However, the length was perfect and looked cute. I am still thinking to fold the sleeves and wear the dress around the house.
EDITED after I wore it for the photoshoot. YES! I managed to pull up sleeves and make them hang in a cute way! Look at how the bottom part looks and is worn with a belt! It is super cute if you work from home but need something cute for Zoom calls or to do Instagram stories. Will wear it!
Twisted shirt dress

Shirt dresses are the most flattering and elegant dresses that women can wear. Button-up dresses and shirts are perfect for Fall and school or work days. The dress is a bit too big for me around the waist. However, I will wear a dress with a belt around the waist.
Is the twisted shirt dress Petite approved?
Sleeves are great for the dress. The feel of the material is not the best. However, I love the boyfriend shirt look it gives!
Pink Christmas sweater
Details. Size L in pink.
I love Christmas, and I needed to order this aesthetic and feminine Christmas sweater when I saw it. It looks like, the sweater is very famous on the webpage too. Therefore, I suggest shopping for it already if you like it. The sweater is soft on the inside which I give kudos about.
Is the pink Christmas sweater Petite approved?
Yes, it is petite-approved because it was the perfect length, and so are the sleeves. It runs small. Therefore, size up when you order. Can Petites shop from DressLily? So far, looks good. Let’s continue.
Pink ribbed bodycon dress
Details. Size M in pink (says red on the website).
The fall colour trend in 2022 was Fuschia pink, but I am still wearing it. As I love pink, I knew I needed my pink dress. I am happy that I ordered two button-up dresses, as one of them turned out to be more winter dresses. Therefore, the pink dress is the perfect Fall dress. However, the pink dress will be even better for the Valentine’s Day date.
Is the pink bodycon dress Petite approved?
Can Petites shop from DressLily? Yes, the pink dress from DressLily is petite-approved. The sleeves are a bit too long, but in a way that it looks cute and like it was meant to be. The length is very good for a mini dress. I think it would be too short for tall women.
Velour red Christmas midi dress

Velour Christmas midi dress that you need for Christmas photoshoots and Christmas parties. When I put the dress on, I felt so powerful, beautiful and elegant. That is when I know that I hit the jackpot! The dress is soft and flattering in every part of the dress.
Is the velour red midi dress Petite approved?
Yes, because the sleeves of the dress are a good length, and it still falls as a midi dress for a Petite woman!
Floral print lace up vintage corset
Details. Size L in light blue
Whenever I order from new brands or pages, I like to challenge myself and order something different. This time I ordered the vintage corset. Ordering so specific clothing you can never know what you will get. However, I hit the jackpot again. The corset feels soft while still steady. It did take time to get into it and lace it up. However, the corset looks sexy and flattering when wearing blue denim jeans.
Is the vintage corset Petite approved?
Can Petites shop from DressLily? Yes, it looks perfect on and is flattering. The corset has 50/50 linen and cotton!
Contrast gothic dress
Details. Size black in M
If gothic fashion is your style, run to DressLily webpage because they have a huge choice. Especially great for the upcoming Halloween season. Yes, the gothic dress fits great, and the length is tea-length. However, I would love it to be shorter, because I feel like it would look better for me. Otherwise, my favourite Halloween dress!
