I have never been a huge Black Friday fan- all that craziness, crowds, and crazy people grabbing and buying things and products they will never need. That Black Friday is not what and how I like it (especially after Thanksgiving Day, really?).
Therefore, my Black Friday for the last years is different. I am always at home, relaxed, having my snacks and wine while still getting all the deals, discounts, and the dream clothes and makeup- how? Keep on reading and I will share some tips and tricks that I have learned along the way.
Check out prices before the Black Friday
This is the most important tip that you should remember and be careful about. I have worked as a salesperson and have also heard stories- some brands and stores like to trick people. For example, two weeks before Black Friday the store is going to raise prices of items, but right during Black Friday lower them, making people think how cheap the product is. Poor customers running like crazy to the store, buying and fighting for their products so no one else would get it, but buying it for the same price as always.
I am passionate about fashion and beauty, therefore I know approximate prices of different fashion and beauty brands and products and stores cannot trick me. Unfortunately, this is business tactics for a lot of brands. Know the worth of products and money and make sure that you are not being tricked into buying some products.
Cyber Monday
I think every one of us knows what Cyber Monday is. Cyber Monday is the same as Black Friday only online and well, not Friday but Monday. Cyber Monday is the Monday following Thanksgiving and is a day for exceptional bargains.
If you are loving the Black Friday craziness, then this is another opportunity to get deals and products you missed on Black Friday. Another option is to wait for Cyber Monday, ignore Black Friday and calls of your girlfriends, and get all the great deals on Cyber Monday- just you, your laptop, and your poor bank account.
Discounts before Black Friday
My Black Friday usually ends before real Black Friday or Cyber Monday even starts. How and why you will ask? Last year I noticed that many stores have very good bargains and discounts for the whole week of Black Friday.
Some companies only have good deals online, but some have them also in actual real-life stores. That way you can get the bag you always wanted, or stock up makeup a week before crazy crowds and being injured. That way you can have more time to think about the product and if you need it. Do not buy what you do not need!
This can seem pretty obvious and easy but at the same time- can you honestly and from your heart tell me that you have never bought something you never used, needed, and regretted afterward? I do not think so! But most of the unnecessary items we buy during sales, deals, and days like Black Friday.
Before you buy the furniture that you have no place for, another black dress or five bags and makeup you will never use up- think if it is your style, if you do not have something similar at home already and if tomorrow you are going to be as happy about the purchase as you are now.
Websites you should keep track of
On days or periods like Black Friday, it is difficult and can take a lot of time to follow up on all the pages, links, and brands that you are interested in. Therefore, there are pages like Slickdeals, filled with discounts, deals, and coupon codes. There are many, many more but lately, the one that helps me a lot and I have found it very useful to save up some time is exactly Slickdeals. What is Slickdeals?
“Slickdeals” is the deal-sharing community (search for your Black Friday discounts, sales, coupon codes, and more). I was surprised to find out that it is the largest and most trustworthy (how did I not know about it before?). The page and community are dedicated to reviewing, sharing, and rating different deals and coupons.
“Slickdeals” is safe and is not a scam; the page has a good and trustworthy reputation and so do the merchants that you can find on their page. Therefore, finding the best Black Friday deals is much easier and stress-free. I am going to use them this year, and you?
