Finding the best long-sleeved dresses for short women can be challenging. Therefore, it is important to check out categories made for Petites.
With this post, you are going to shop easily for your favorite sweater dress, as well as learn, how to style the sweater dress and wear it during Fall and winter. A sweater dress is usually a knitted, soft dress that is perfect for the winter and fall seasons.
How to wear a sweater dress?
I love to wear sweater dresses with leather jackets and ankle boots during Fall time. However, in winter with a wool coat and knee-high or over-the-knee boots to keep you warm.
Mini sweater dresses
My favorite length for everything but especially sweater dresses are the mini dresses or above the knee. Especially for Petite women, I suggest wearing dresses above the knee level. If you want to wear midi and maxi dresses, then better to choose dresses with vertical lines or slit on the side.
I especially fell in love with the sweater dress in red from Asos- seems soft, warm, and with holiday spirit! However, the mini Burgundy button-up dress looks very flattering as well. I would wear that sweater dress to holiday parties or hang out around the house wearing long socks.
Midi sweater dresses
The midi dresses that I found look extra cozy and warm. However, not as flattering. I would suggest wearing these with pointed-toe high-heel ankle boots. Midi sweater dresses are great for visiting your conservative grandparents or going to church in winter if you do.
I would also suggest adding some necklaces and belts to give your body more shape and structure!
Turtle neck sweater dresses
Turtle or high-neck sweater dresses are perfect for you if you have very cold winters. I used to hate anything that had a turtle neck. However, I realized that it looks very elegant and beautiful on me, and I am sure that on you as well.
I like to add some beautiful necklaces when I have a turtleneck to give some kind of depth and shape to my neck, and shoulders.
