Best outdoor and camping travel packing list for women. People who follow me on my social media, know that I love travelling. Especially, I travel a lot to Campings, and mountains, where I wear anything comfortable, and warm but at the same time flattering.
Therefore, I have experience enough to share my outdoor and camping travel packing list for women when it comes to fashion and outfits. However, note that these items can change depending on the weather, nature and activities you plan.

Different types of bottoms for the camping trip
Cotton leggings
I always take simple, basic black leggings with me wherever I go. Cotton leggings are the most comfortable and versatile piece of clothing. Basic leggings are great to sleep in or just spend casual days in camping.
Fitness leggings
Fitness leggings are great for hiking or doing any activities, like jogging or yoga.
Leather leggings
Leather leggings are not for everyone, but mostly for those, who camp close to the city. Many times when I camping, it is next to a village. We use the opportunity to go out, and have dinner and that is where I wear leather leggings- stylish but still comfortable enough to walk and see the city.
Biker shorts
Biker shorts are just like cotton leggings- versatile and comfortable. I wear biker shorts for the same reason as leggings. The only reason why I throw both in when packing is because of the weather. If the weather is warmer, I sleep in biker shorts instead of leggings.
Tops and jackets for staying warm
Warm hoodie
A warm hoodie is important because of the keyword- “warm”. I have many hoodies but when I camp, I always take the warmest and cosiest with me! Nothing feels better than getting those chills when the sun disappears and you put on a warm and soft hoodie.
Button-up shirt
A Button-up shirt Is great to throw on and off during hiking. Sometimes weather is very tricky, can be windy, then hot in the sun and again cold when in shadows. Therefore, I have a button-up shirt with me (mine is from Amazon Essentials) to throw on during hikes but also when chilling with my cup of coffee at the camping area.
Basic t-shirts
Basic t-shirts are for everything- hiking, chilling, sleeping. T-shirts are so versatile and can be worn for everything. Therefore, I always have some in my camping bag (I buy packs of t-shirts at Amazon).
Thermal top with long sleeves
A thermal top with long sleeves is good to have if you hike around the winter time. As well as if you are in the mountains. I do not always take my thermal top with me when camping. However, I do if I go in late Autumn.
Sports bra
A sports bra is not a necessity. However, for hiking in mountains I love to have a sports bra because it is more comfortable than a regular bra, and allows me to take off my shirt if it is too hot.
Rain coat/jacket
Any coat or jacket that protects from rain is a must when camping or hiking. You can never know what the weather be like and it is better to be prepared.
Footwear for camping and hiking
Hiking boots
Hiking boots are the must-have first item to take with you when camping. Honestly, even if you are not really going to hike, just for camping and exploring the nature, hiking boots are still the best.
Sneakers
Casual but comfortable sneakers for days at a Camping area and exploring the local town. The sneakers from the photo are sustainable recycled plastic sneakers from Vivaia (use code KRISTINE for 18% off).
Slides
Beach slides or slippers are the ones that I did not pack with me on my first camping trips, but I always regretted it. If you stay in any Camping, they are easy to wear when you shower or slide on when going to the bathroom at night and for any fast use.
Accessories
Bumbag
I used to think bumbags are silly, until I got one recently (from Ideal of Sweden) and since then I wear it everyday! Going for a weekend getaway in big city like Barcelona? Bumbag keeps the criminals away! Having daily walk and doing groceries? Bumbag, free hands and no extra weight on my shoulders. Going for a camping and hiking trip? Bumbag to have my safe belongings always with me, and make it easy to pull out my phone to take a photo.
Cap/hat
I have a bucket hat and a dad hat. Last year I bought a bucket hat to be stylish during my camping trips. However, this year I got myself a dad hat from my own merch and I wear that one a lot more!
Do not forget to take…
Good underwear
I do not want anyone to pack accordingly to my list and then forget about comfortable underwear because I did not include it.
Socks (thermal/ water proof)
Preferably, thermal and water proof socks for camping and hiking trips. Once my feet got wet in the first 15 minutes of the 3h hike. It ruined my mood, I was all grumpy and I am sure that I ruined the mood of everyone else as well.
