Glam but first coffeeDuring my blogger and Instagram journey I have mentioned and talked about affordable makeup products a lot. There are definitely a lot of makeup products which are great price and the quality is similar or the same as luxurious product.
I like luxurious experience from time to time, but if there is no budget for that or a person is not so much into makeup to spend a fortune on it, then budget friendly makeup products can work good and enough. I decided to round up a budget friendly and at the same time good quality makeup products. Also going to state my opinion about products that are worth splurge and products that are great in drugstore and is not necessary to splurge on. Which is your favourite?
Brushes
People do not give enough credit to makeup brushes. For a flawless and good makeup look it is necessary to have a good quality and soft makeup brushes and moisturised skin (good skincare routine). At the same time very good quality brushes like Sigma cost a lot of money.
Over the years I have discovered few brands that have a good quality and soft makeup brushes for affordable price. The first ever makeup brushes I bought were from Ecotools and then I upgraded my brush collection from more and more brushes from Ecotools. My favourite Ecotools brushes that I use are Large powder brush, blush brush and large eyeshadow brush.
Then Youtube started to get popular and all the Youtubers that are now famous (Zoella, Fleur de Force) talked about Real techniques makeup brushes and how good they are for the price (I could not agree more). They are sold in different sets- eye shadow brushes, brushes for face etc. I am using on daily bases the blush brush, sometimes powder brush and detailer brush.

The third company that create great brushes for the price are ELF cosmetics brushes. I bought the brushes on Shopmissa (Shopmissa sell affordable makeup products, most of which are only 1 Eur). I have the blending brush and crease brush and I could not brag enough of how amazing they work, blend and are so soft.

Concealers
There are two things which I cannot live without- oxygen and good concealer for my under-eye area. Concealer is tricky part because I have discovered concealers from high-end side which a drugstore concealer have hard time to compete with but at the same time I have discovered few concealers which are low priced but very good and close by.
There are two concealers that for the last couple of months I use together and they work amazing. I would want to start with Maybelline Fit me. This concealer is my absolute favourite of all time since I discovered it, I cannot believe how affordable it is and how good it is at the same time. I love the Ivory tone for my skin, the thick and rich texture and Fit me concealer works great for under-eye area and some blemishes.

After applying Maybelline Fit me concealer, I apply L’oreal True match concealer. the consistency is a little bit watery and not as thick. Also the coverage is lower and True match concealer crease more than a Maybelline Fit me one. But I feel like the True match concealer is great to apply for brightening effect on cheekbone area, forehead and chin. These two concealers blend together perfectly creating natural but brightening and healthy look.

Foundation
I have a very hard time and dilemma about foundations. First of, I have very light and pale skin tone (winter or summer- does not matter). That only gives me headache to find a good foundation for my skin tone and not make me look orange or like a burned chocolate. Secondly, lately I wear white or light coloured clothes and blouses and with foundation on it is difficult to stay clean and good looking and to not smear it all over my outfit. Ladies, how do you handle this issue? And the last but not least, hot weather. Especially now when I live in Spain, I do not feel good and it is not convenient to have a full face makeup mask on. So foundation is a hard topic for me.
I finally found foundation that is close to the perfect one. Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation– I am sure you have all heard about this beautiful foundation because everyone has been talking about it for ages. Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation has amazing texture, because it feels very light and watery but the coverage is amazing. I am also living for the shade range- really works great for my skin tone, blends easily, also is filled with all kind of vitamins that are good for the skin. Girl, you need this foundation! Powder
I am always in a hunt for good powder, especially because I am not a big foundation user. Sometimes, especially when I want light makeup look, I will only apply concealer and powder on my face. That is why I need a powder which give healthy matte effect, covers imperfections, set my concealer and at the same time, does not create dry patches.
My skin type changes with the seasons but normally I have normal- dry skin, because there are moments that I have dry spots around my nose and on my forehead and that is when the powder can create dry patches and bad look on my skin. Powder is the one where need to invest money but at the same time I run out of powder so fast that I cannot afford to buy high-end powders nonstop.
Last year I discovered great everyday powder from Revlon- Revlon Colorstay powder. I like the light and medium coverage of it. Colorstay powder has very soft texture. Most importantly- the powder does not create dry patches, look natural and really seals the makeup in. Revlon Colorstay is one of my favourite powders that I have tried in my life. And it has a small puff and mirror as well.

Highlighter
With the highlighters it is pretty easy- there are many good blinding highlighters for a good price. Even Jeffree Star has tried and loved Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter, for example. I have not tried this highlighter yet but it is definitely in my wish list, so I will not talk a lot about this highlighter but I wanted to mention that because many influencers has reviewed it with five stars.

The highlighter that is my favourite and which I have tried because of many influencers talking about it, is the Wet N Wild Megaglo highlighter. The highlighter has different shades and I have the light pink one which gives you frozen cotton candy look on your cheekbones and nose. Lovely and blinding shine from such an affordable highlighter. The way it blends and lays on the skin is so natural and clean!

Mascara
Mascara is definitely my favourite part of makeup (apart of eyebrows). Good mascara can do such a magic and if I do not apply mascara, I feel naked in my skin! Have you put on makeup and forgot about mascara? If so, you know what I mean. I forgot it once, and from that moment I always took mascara with me in case I forget to apply it in the morning.
Mascara is also the makeup product that you do not need to splurge on to get a great, bold and long lasting result. There are many brands who launch amazing affordable mascaras, like Bourjois, L’oreal, Maybelline and others.
The one I am using at the moment is Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. It is very black and great mascara that mostly volumizes and curls lashes in natural but bold way. Lash Sensational mascara does not have fallouts and lasts the whole day. I am obsessed with Maybelline mascaras and have tried a lot of them. The other favourite from the brand is Rocket mascara.

Eyebrow pencils
I used to have awful brows. First I did not take care of my brows and they were very bushy and whole jungle where I lost a lot of my things… and teenage years. When I started to take care of them, obviously I did not know how to I styled them and curved them in kind of a hook form. Yes, my cosmetologist were laughing of me. Then cosmetologist helped me to create the form and style them. Now I am still struggling with my eyebrows, I can totally love them one day and then divorce them the next day. Who feels the same emotions?
Eyebrow pencils are the ones I have tried as the easiest ones to manage and the ones which works the best for me. I have brown hair colour, as same as eyebrow colour. When I choose the shade of eyebrow pencil, I love to choose this very interesting shade- grey, light brown. I do not like when my brows look red or too dark, so I usually choose the shade which are meant for blond girls! If only blond girls would do the same (Have you noticed many blond haired girls make their brows very dark and black?)
My most favourite affordable brands for eyebrow pencils are Artdeco pencil No. 6 (greyish), Eylure pencil No.20 (mid-brown) and Sleek powder pencil which has very light brown shade. Each of these pencils are soft but hard enough to create sharp and good looking eyebrows. Eyebrow pencils are also the ones where I do not want to spend my money on because I use them up very fast.
Eyeliner
I am not a big eyeliner fan, but it is kind of periodic. One period I am obsessed with eyeliner look and apply eyeliner in my daily looks and then come period where I forget about the eyeliner at all. That is why I need an eyeliner which does not dry out quickly and is good quality not only for first week but also the next month. I am saying all this because I have discovered few eyeliners which works great for the first weeks and then either way the applicator is not as sharp and precise or it dries out. I discovered that pencil/pen type of liners use to do that (Maybeline Master eyeliner and Sigma Liquid pen eyeliner has done that to me).
I have two favourite eyeliners, one is from Rimmel scandaleyes gel eyeliner in a pot (but I cannot find it anywhere anymore- there are similar one and the formula might be the same but I cannot assure that, but I still advice you to look into the brand and see what other liners they have), and other liner I just bought is from Kiko Milano- waterproof eyeliner. If you are searching a good eyeliner that is not going to dry out so fast but does not smear, is very black, dries quickly on your skin and you can wear for a whole day (actually two days as minimum), then this eyeliner is just for you. There is one minus- it literally is so good that it is difficult to clean the eyeliner off the face even with makeup removers, many times I leave it on until it washes off itself. It can be annoying because I like to clean off my makeup at the end of a day! Kiko Milano has many other eyeliners which are not waterproof so you would want to look into them!

Eyeshadow palettes
Eyeshadow palettes are the ones which I would consider to splurge a little bit. Especially for a good nude palette for daily use (which I need to get). Also eyeshadow is almost investment for the whole life because to run out of it you will need a few years in most cases. Also eyeshadow palettes has many shades in them which you can use to create many different looks, and the formula is very important and good formula is not cheap.
With that being said, I wanted to let you know which brands create great eyeshadow palettes for the price and are very good in what they are doing. Firstly, I would like to mention NYX cosmetics because lately they have stepped up their makeup game and have very good quality makeup, including eyeshadow palettes.
For last years Morphe cosmetics brand is very famous and has grown in pretty huge company collaborating with influencers and youtubers. Morphe offers good quality makeup brushes (Hello Jeffree Star, how are you?) as well as makeup palettes ( Hello, Sister James). I have makeup pallete 35B which is known for more colourful, rainbow shades. The next palette I would want to get is some with more natural shades for everyday makeup looks.

Zoeva is the brand that not a lot of people will know or have heard about or has seen in the store. I feel like Zoeva is not available in all countries, I know you can get Zoeva makeup in some European countries in Sephora but I have not seen it in Sephora of United States for example. I have Zoeva matte palette– it has gorgeous natural and autumn shaded colours. All the colours blend nicely and are very pigmented and soft textured.

Lipsticks. lip products
Many people does not like and never use any lipstick or lipgloss and has never even owned one. In the past few years I have been obsessed with lipsticks and love to discover different type of lip products and brands. Lipstick is another product where I would invest money for (like a great red and nude lipstick). This is the product that will last a little longer and do not need to have plenty of them, just 2-3 are great and is not easy to find a great formula for as well.
With that being said, there are few brands that I look into when looking for a good lipstick or lipgloss. Maybelline (Vivid matte liquid) and Bourjois (Velvet matte) has gorgeous lip products in great colours and formula. I am lately into matte lipsticks and products so Bourjois Velvet Matte and Maybelline Vivid matte lipstick are one of my favourites.

The other brand which I check out from time to time is NYX cosmetics. My all time favourite lipstick which looks as luxurious as luxurious can look like is NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade Amsterdam. The shade is perfect for my pale skin tone and tone of my teeth. It is rich, soft, very pigmented and lasts the whole day. My absolute dream is to have every single shade of the range and I could die happy then! As for lipgloss my absolute favourite is NYX Mega shine lip gloss.
