The Autumn footwear essentials in today’s blog are suitable and needed for any woman. However, they are very flattering for Petites and I will include a few styling tips for short women under 5’4. The number one footwear tip and suggestion for Petite women is to prefer pointy-toe shoes before round toes. Avoid shoes with ankle straps- those will create a horizontal illusion and “cut” your ankle. A small heel will help with your posture and give you some height as well.

Flats (use code VKRISTINE) are a great fashion essential that never goes out of style. The best benefit of flats is that they are comfortable and match with more casual or classy styles. I mentioned black flats, but skin-coloured flats will even help the optical illusion for longer legs. However, I prefer black flats that are more practical and match any colours for Autumn.

How to style flats for Autumn? You can style flats in any outfit. However, flats are the most suitable for office outfits, running errands or going out at night.

Converse sneakers

I wear Converse sneakers all year round. Converse sneakers have red decorative lines and as they are more tiny and fitted to the feet, they are very flattering on shorter women. If you want to add some height, you can choose the platform Converse sneakers. However, I prefer the classy Chuck Taylor white sneakers. Avoid very chunky and huge sneakers.

How to style Converse sneakers? My favourite outfit with Converse is cropped mom jeans and a white tee or blouse. However, sneakers also look great with casual dresses for a chic casual look.

Chelsea boots

In the spring I got the cutest Louboutin dupe Chelsea boots (use code VKRISTINE) only better. Better because they are much more affordable, comfortable, and sustainable. I also love the sleek design, which makes the boots more flattering for any woman- Petite or not. Every woman needs a pair of Chelsea boots for her Autumn outfits.

How to style Chelsea boots? Chelsea boots look great with everything. I like to style my Chelsea boots with skinny jeans, leather leggings or a dress. Chelsea boots look great with layered-up Autumn outfits.

High-heel pointy-toe ankle boots

There is nothing more flattering for a short woman than wearing high-heeled boots with a pointy toe. You do not need to have the boot with a very high heel. I usually go for a low-block heel because I prefer comfort.

How to style heeled pointy-toe ankle boots? I usually wear high-heeled boots for the nights out or if I go to the office.

Over-the-knee boots

Last but not least, over-the-knee boots. So many people will say that over-the-knee boots are not meant for Petites. However, I disagree. Choose pointy-toe boots, with a small heel.

How to style over-the-knee boots? Wear OTK boots in monochromatic outfits, mini dresses or skirts to reveal a little bit of skin.
